Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Pretty good atmosphere and consistently solid service. The bar room is usually a little more of a quiet/private setting than the main dining area (just my preference). Although the bar does not offer a vast array of beer selections, they do offer some decent options from Founder's, Bell's and Midland BC. Food is very good....SOLID 4 stars. My personal favorites are the guacamole stuffed egg rolls for the appetizer, the flatbread pizzas are good too. I've also had great steaks and burgers, so they really have lots of options to choose from . Prices are mid range and not too bad....look for coupons and join their rewards club to save even more.

I get that it's a chain restaurant, but this place is very good, in particular this location. Great service and accurate orders with some menu flexibility. Food served hot and very presentable. Will definitely be back if I'm in the area.

Every time we've been to Unos, our food has been good. Their wild mushroom and cheddar flat bread is to die for. They are have really good Caesar salad.

My parents have gone all in with this place. I've been here with them 3x in the last 2 months. With that being said, we've had nothing but good meals and service here. I usually just get the personal size Número Uno pizza, very good. In the past their pizzas were greasy, but they've gotten a lot better.

Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup....Mmmmm. My parent's eat here a lot and since I flew into town for the week they insisted we eat here, they had unlimited soup and salad. The portions are nice and the soup doesn't taste like it came from a can. I'd come back.

Very clean, family friendly restaurant. Food is great, I love the Rattlesnake Pasta. :) The service is always good and the waitstaff always friendly.

This was a great place for a pre-wedding get together! We love this restaurants style and interior and then the service was spot on! The food took a while to come to our table but this would be the only, if any knock on this restaurant. We were a very large party and it was awesome, my wife and I and from the sounds of it, we all would come back in a heart beat (group of over 30 people).

Service was good but this place was freezing cold. Coffee and hot chocolate were just as cold. The service was good but food came out slow. Maybe more of a summer stop...I would be willing to try again however I won't be going out of my way.

Great experience. We had a wonderful server named Danielle. We went at lunch and the food came out pretty quickly. I ordered an individual número uno deep dish pizza which was very good. The sauce and crust was great overall one of my favorite pizzas to order. My wife got the Romano pan crusted chicken. She loved it and said she would get get it again. We ordered our kids the Mac and cheese. Danielle did something great for us, she brought the kids food out first about 5 minutes before ours. I love it when servers do this. We got the kids eating early so when our food came out we could start eating a hot meal with no hassling with the kids. The place was very clean and all the workers were very polite and helpful. It was nicely priced and a good experience.

Not to be pretentious but I didn't expect much from a chain... this place was just sooo bad though. The menu says their lunch special is brought to you in 10 minutes or less and ours took closer to 20. My goat cheese and roasted vegetable wrap was a soggy, flavorless mess, and when I asked for a replacement dish the waitress literally laughed and walked away. Definitely won't be coming back.

I've been to several Uno Chicago Grills and this was the best. Food was the typical Unos fare, which I like and won't comment on further, but I was very impressed by how attentive the staff was and how clean and well-maintained the restaurant is, including some beautiful landscaping. I felt like everyone actually cared. Interesting to read some very negative comments here from other reviewers. Perhaps things have changed? I can't compare with other visits since this was our first time at this location.

I try not to look like a critic. I used to just review places I like, but actually shameless me, I am just a yelper being here long enough and just "U turned" from "only review places I enjoy so much" to "definitely give them what they deserve". I really wish I could sing a little praise to this place, but hey "UNO in bay city", YOU GIVE CHICAGO A BAD NAME. In no way can I sit tight with that. I went in this restaurant after work one day with my coworker. After having a tough day, we both crave some "Chicago" food for relaxation. First of all, right after introducing herself to us, our waitress (I would rather not to reveal the name for her protection, since that's not her fault for making the food so crappy) dropped a take-out box on our table and went away without saying anything. We were stunned until I figured out that was for the table next to us who just checked out. She didn't realize this for the entire process.... Drinks comes first. Ew, any drunk people's bar at 3AM could make better drinks I say. Appetizer we had this stuffed mushroom, something I always like, but disappointed. Steak came up, meat? Tasteless and soggy... The same happened to my coworker's dish. We looked at each other and went speechless. The highlight is the boiled broccoli on the side....literally had fishy flavor in it! Let me describe it, yes maybe the chef boiled it in the same pot of water he cooked fish to be "Eco-friendly"! All the appetite was ruined up to that point, even the waitress changed my side into a salad after my complaining, nothing can be fixed. ps That salad worthies2.5 stars(out of 5) at most in case you are curious still after reading this far.... I understand it's a chain restaurant, but I wish someone from UNO management could seriously consider to remove this restaurant out of the group please. At least you are having CHICAGO in your title. Show some responsibility to the city....

Amazing customer service, drinks are never empty. Love the croutons in the salad.

Uno's had a comfortable atmosphere. Children will love the Make Your Own Pizza option. Your server will bring a disposable apron, pre-made pizza dough in a pan, ramekins of mozzarella, sauce and pepperoni. Kid's get to put their own pizza together, then the server will whisk it back to the kitchen to get baked. This is where the positive parts of Uno's ended. We visited during lunch on a Sunday. They were slow compared to other restaurants in the area, now I know why. There were maybe 7 other tables with guests in the restaurant. They had more servers than you could count. Yet, ours seemed to disappear for long periods of time. A different server brought our food to the table, which had no flavor. Plus, they forgot to bring my son's pizza. So we waited. And waited. Finally, our original server came with the forgotten pizza. A few moments later she brought our check, ignoring the piles of dirty salad plates and empty glasses. So much time had passed since the server had brought the check, that I began to think maybe you paid the check yourself, in the front of the restaurant. I walked over and asked a different server for a box and where to pay our bill, she told me our server will take the money. So we waited. And waited. Our server finally arrived, handed us a box, took the bill and left. So we waited. And waited. She came back with our change, said have a good day and she was off once again. Now maybe with a friendly attentive server, and an order of something other than the Uno's specialty deepdish, your visit might be okay. We will probably not return to find out. There are many non-chain places in town that are much more worthy of a visit.

Ate at Uno's on 4/3/11 and got the warm walnut encrusted goat cheese salad...changed it up a little by adding grilled shrimp and getting lemon basil olive oil dressing and it was delicious - probably one of the best salads I've ever had, especially from a chain. Service was really good as well!

I never had Uno anywhere else cuz I knew it was a chain restaurant but it DID hale from Chicago, home of the deep dish pizza. This meal was catered for us by a drug rep. The pizza is what I'd describe as a semi deep dish meaning the crust is really huge and thick and the middle of the pizza is sunken in like it was baked "deeply". It doesn't really have the flavor I expect of a truly deep dish pizza of which I've had in chicago proper. The flavor combinations are pretty good. Chicken fajita and their classic (an extra sauce and sausage pizza) are delicious. Its definitely better than the other pizza options in this area.

This is the best gluten free menu in the area. I eat here regularly and will sometimes order the regular menu pizzas on the Gluten Free Crust and it turns out great. They also have takeout special for pizzas.

Uno's has added low-fat options to their menu, AND they designate these on their menu. A real plus. The restaurant is large with a nice atmosphere. I always enjoy going here.

Ok so my sister (who is my roommate) and I were heading back from Linwood last night and thought we would stop off in Bay City on our way back to Midland for a bite to eat. And although it was only 8:30pm on a Sunday evening, Uno's Chicago Grill was the closest establishment to where we were. Conveniently enough we ran into one of our friends and chose a booth right behind them. I should have known from the beginning that it was going to be a bad experience because our server flipped over a napkin and wrote her name all over it in a very big childesk bubble letter form way!! She was very familiar with 2 of the people at the other table so in the middle of talking to my sister and I, Stephanie would bellow over to the table right behind us. I think she felt it was ok because I was talking to our friend and it would only be acceptable if she could do the same thing. Stephanie disappeared from out table to retrieve our drink orders, we informed her that we had not figured out what we wanted which might have been a mistake because she finally came back about 15 minutes later to see if we had time to look at the menu....I actually wanted to say "um gee, NO Stephanie.....in your 15 minutes absents, we were not able to even look at the menus at all" My sister and I agreed that we wanted an appetizer and knew which meals we wanted. Stephanie took or meal order and then promptly turned away to put them into the computer. She never once asked if we wanted an appetizer so we did not order one, she then explained to the table behind us, while standing NEAR OUR TABLE what time she was getting out and how she was so tired and could not wait to get home to her son in which she conceived while drunk one night. She also explained that she had never wanted kids but that drunken night forever changed her mind on being a parent! ONE WOULD HOPE!!! She then left our section and announced that she would be over on the other side of the restaurant cleaning and if we needed anything to just come find her. I envisioned that she would be cleaning with a rag and a bucket of dirty water or something and feared that she would not wash her hands when she brought the food out, not sure if that was accurate but when she did bring out our food she confirmed with us before we even used the salt that she was taking it. My sister and I were fine with that since we do not use salt, but to take it before we even had a chance to decide if we wanted it or even bother to ask "would you like some salt before i snatch it from your table because it is sunday and I want to get back to my child i did not want but am stuck with because i was a drunk" is very unprofessional! I do not see why she had to make us feel rushed or that we were a bother because after all, THE PLACE WAS STILL OPENED!!! The food was actually good, I lived about an hour and a half outside of chicago for over 7 years and frequented the city often, I would NOT in any way shape or form classify this with any where in Chicago. I did not eat the pizza so I could not compare that with Chicago either. To me this was just a restaurant that was trying to live up to a name and failed miserably! Once she handed us the check, Stephanie felt it very acceptable to throw herself into the booth behind us and go off about her day at work. We were at Uno's for under an hour, trying to hurry because she made it very clear that she wanted to get home and upon walking past the booth she was laying in she asks "are you all set?" I just responded "yes" and she went back to talking to her favorite customers. Not once did she say "thanks for coming in" I think it is funny that a place in Bay City, Michigan would make such a claim to be that of a restaurant in the Windy City....nice try but NO! I almost forgot to mention that our meals were suppose to come with salads and those were no where to be found, I think she felt if she does not allow us to eat an appetizer, salad, or offer us dessert she can get home to drink and start on child 2?!

Ate at Uno's yesterday. Wow. What friendly, helpful staff. They were amazing! It's a fun, good place to go with a nice variety of good food. AND, for me, the best part is they have gluten free pizza, and starting this week BUNS. Yes, buns, gluten free. You can have a burger or sandwich, with a bun. Great news, if you have to eat gluten free. Spread the news. They actually have a gluten free menu. Love it! Check them out.

Always very good! Once they sent out my medium rare steak as well done, but gave me appetizers for free and fired a new one to perfection.

I would really prefer to give this 3.5 stars and it's mainly the due to the waiter that they earned the last full star. I was in there with a friend of mine and between us we had seven kids. We picked this place randomly as a rest stop on our way through the area. The kids sat in a booth and my friend and I sat at the next table. The waiter took impressively good care of us all. Usually when there's a zoo of kids the waiters get kind of frantic, especially when we sit at different tables. But he was very attentive with refills, removing empty plates and generally making sure all the food was served in a timely and orderly manner. I even got my soup ahead of time. The food is good, not great. I had cheese and broccoli soup with a half sandwich. A pretty small half sandwich but in the end it was enough to fill me up. Come to think of it, the portion is no issue - I don't like it when they serve you enough to feed a small African village. Although the soup was tasty, it was pretty salty. And I tend to salt my food anyway, so it's saying a lot. The chicken sandwich was also pretty good. Nothing spectacular. And it came with potato chips and a pickle. My friend got sliders and he seemed to enjoy them but didn't make any comments. The kids got some kind of typical "kids menu" items, such as fried bits of chicken or whatever. I'm never thrilled at restaurants' kids' menus. The cost for all of us (nine in total) was just over $60 so it wasn't bad. This is 10x better then any fast food establishment (which I realize isn't saying much) and it was also relatively quick so I'd recommend stopping here for decent lunch. I'd stop here again.
